Geomnia Potash Group

One of the principal lines of work for GEOMNIA is the world of industrial minerals and especially the fertilizers. Due to the importance of potash, GEOMNIA promoted the creation of a group specialized in the potash exploration worldwide (Geomnia Potash Group), offering a high quality service for those companies interested in this substance. This group is nourished of senior geologists with great experience in potash exploration, project evaluation and search of new opportunities. This experience is based on a potash exploration program conducted by RIO TINTO PLC during the years 2002-2008.

Our group has been directly involved in the development of important potash projects and has a proven experience in the multidisciplinary approach to potash exploration, so that it is capable of offering the following services:

• Evaluation of potash reserves/resources.
• Technical assistance in potash projects; interpretation of seismic data, geophysical logs, assistance to drilling campaigns or petrologic and petrographic characterization. -Development of exploration projects, including the management of mining rights and programming drilling campaigns.
• Regional studies, including field studies
• Classification by priority of potash basins worldwide, in terms of potential, geometry of the mineralization, method of mining exploitation, geographical location, infrastructure and quality of the subsoil data. In addition, our group supports contacts with professionals of different countries, many of them related to exploration of potash resources.
